How it works

Chonluten is a short synthetic tripeptide made from glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine, commonly written Glu-Asp-Gly or EDG. PubChem lists it as CID 194641, with molecular formula C11H17N3O8 and a molecular weight of about 319 g/mol.[1] It is sometimes referenced by the shorthand T-34. Like Cardiogen and Cartalax, it falls into the peptide bioregulator research category, and it is discussed mainly in relation to lung and bronchial biology because the sequence has been described as derived from bronchial epithelial cells — a description that establishes a research rationale, not a proven respiratory benefit.[2]

Benefits & side effects

No human adverse-event data exist for Chonluten because no clinical trials have been conducted. The in vitro study measured cell-signaling changes, not safety outcomes, so it cannot be used to infer that the compound is safe in people.[2] More broadly, therapeutic peptides can carry immunogenicity risks tied to manufacturing impurities, and unapproved or compounded peptide products carry additional risks of contamination or inaccurate potency.[12][14] Pregnancy, breastfeeding, pediatric use, and use by people with active respiratory or autoimmune disease are entirely unstudied for Chonluten specifically.
